We call ourselves The Pan-American Colibri Swimmers, a group of 10 people from South Africa, USA, Mexico, New Zealand and Israel who will be swimming for the Colibri Centre for Human Rights that work endlessly to end migrant death and related suffering of families along the US-Mexico border.
Kim Chambers is a marathon open water swimmer from New Zealand living in San Francisco, and is a member of the Night Train Swimmers. Kim is the 6th person in history to complete the Oceans Seven swimming challenge, and most recently she set a world record becoming the first and only woman in the world to swim from the Farallon Islands to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Open Water Swimmer from South Africa. Obtaining provincial colours for swimming, water polo and biathlon. Jean has also completed his Navy diving course with The Diver of the Year accolade. He became the first person ever to put all 6 intercontinental swims under his belt. Jean was also nominated Adventurer of the Year, Nightjar Travel Awards 2015.
Married to Shira, father of 3 boys, vegan, entrepreneur, traveler, writer. Love avocado sandwich, jazz music and the way Usain Bolt dances after 100 meter run. Admire those who do, those who dare, those who smile, those who care.

39, New Zealand/USA. Completed the Oceans Seven and the first women to swim to the Farallons Island.
47, Mexico City. Accomplished marathon swimmer who was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 2006 as an Honor Swimmer. Nora was the first and only Mexican and first Latin American woman and sixth person to complete a double-crossing of the English Channel. She crossed the English Channel six times individually in 1992, 1994, 1997 and 2005, and five times on a relay. She has swam 45K (28 miles) from Akumal to Cozumel in Mexico, 70K (43.4 miles) from Cozumel to Cancun
44, South Africa. Completed the Guinness World Record Highest Swim (Patagonia), unprecedented Dead Sea Swim and 6 intercontinental swims.
48 Mexico .A pool and open water swimmer. She lives in Mexico City with her children Eduardo and Andrea. Mariel is the first Mexican woman to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming
50, Israel, organized and completed the Cyprus-Israel swim (2014) and Dead Sea Swim (2016) to raise awareness of over use of plastics in our oceans and the Dead Sea Swim was a call to action to save the Dead sea from vanishing.
46, USA Half-breed, USA/Colombia. Swimmer since age 2. Must be near water. Quit the pool for 15 years and have gradually added that back. First jumped in SF Bay in 1978, while also taking sailing lessons there. Got back in circa 2009 and instantly loved long swims in the cold water. Swam on the first all-woman relay from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Farallons. Will kayak 20+ miles for coffee and snack hand-outs from the big boat.
58, Mexico Is a 1982 graduate in Germanic Studies and Economics from Stanford University. He is a successful business leader, educator, author, an endurance athlete who has completed several marathons and Ironman triathlons, and an extraordinary Mexican marathon swimmer
